DECIDING TO ONLY USE CAPPUCCINO FOR EDITOR

After building out our second prototype inside Cappuccino and getting to the styling stage, we realized our designer (Andreas), had been basing our site’s style off complex presentation designs with the assumption that we’d be using HTML & CSS to style it. We of course thought it would be simple to do so. A few days later we realized that certain things are harder to do in Cappuccino, and spent a nice amount of time banging our heads on it.

We thought about whether it makes sense to continue using Cappuccino, how it fits into what we are trying to present to the user and whether it was worth the time to style it. We had the choice of either embedding a web view inside cappuccino or take a step back and embed Cappuccino inside an HTML page. We decided that the latter simplified our design a lot, and now Cappuccino is doing what we think cappuccino does best – fun UI interactions with minimal presentational styling of the elements inside it.
